The Detroit Pistons joined the NBA in 1949 and currently play at Little Caesars Arena, which holds 20,332 people. The team struggled early on and for decades nothing seemed to click. In more recent decades, the Pistons managed to find some success. In 1989 and 1990, the Pistons won back to back championships. From 2003-2008 the team managed to make the Eastern Conference Finals (six year streak) despite only winning the 2004 title. In 2011, the team went under new ownership and recently, have been in a rebuilding stage.
