Vince Papale's successful stint in the World Football League earned him a meeting with Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil in 1976. Soon after, Papale made the team roster, becoming the oldest rookie in the NFL at age 30. During his brief career with the Eagles, he was voted Special Teams Captain in 1978 and Man of the Year for his charitable activities. He remains involved locally in the Philadelphia area, and he was portrayed by Mark Wahlberg as his inspirational story was chronicled in the hit Walt Disney movie 'Invincible.'
